"As a total novice saxophonist at age 50 I picked up "A New Tune A Day for Tenor Sax" 18 months ago from our local music store. It introduced me to the instrument while covering the basics of reading and playing the saxophone through fun and familiar tunes while gradually increasing the difficulty. I do not have access to a teacher (full time scientist by profession) but this book and CD combination worked really well for me. As a result I will be attempting The Trinity College London grade three exams in a week's time. In a nutshell - A New Tune A Day for Tenor Sax is a fun way to learn to play a new instrument and covers the basics well enough and in a way that improvement comes naturally. I cannot wait for Book 2 to appear!"
