Peter Schickele Stepping Out for Contrabass and Piano, parts provided for standard orchestral tuning and concert tuning. Commissioned by legendary bassist Gary Karr and his accompanist Harmon Lewis, Stepping Out is outgoing and exuberant, featuring two highly stylized dances, a polka and a tango, followed by a driven, jazz-tinged finale with plenty of virtuosic passages.
