This song-cycle takes its title from 'Trinity at low tide', the first of three settings of poetry by Anne Stevenson. The latest work in a sequence of Samuel's vocal music inspired by the verse of this award-winning writer, Trinity subtly evokes themes of mortality through images of the sea and of rural life, expressed with the poet's meticulous eye for detail.
