These studies are designed to explore beyond the present limits of Horn technique and are meant to form a contemporary extension to the older studies of Kopprasch, Gallay, Maxime-Aphonse etc. They are therefore written to be very challenging - each Etude concentrates on an immediately identifiable problem of technique and presents it at an almost virtuoso level.
