This is the second and much revised edition of what has frequently been called the "Bible of English Country Dance Music". All the tunes have been carefully selected and now number well over 1,000. The facsimiles of The English Dancing Master and The Beggar's Opera remain and many of the tunes have been reset. There is music here from the 13th to the 20th century and examples of the whole brilliant and varied kaleidoscope of forms, it is all here.
