The textbook ''Our First Little Notes'' for first-year pupils is the first of a series of music appreciation books (''Gay Little Notes and Songs'', ''Songs and Rhythmical Games''), intended for primary music schools (music appreciation and rhythmical training class). The publication contains a number of melodic-rhythmic exercises and a dozen or so songs. The book is supplemented with basic theoretical information about rhythm, melody, scales and musical life in Poland.
