Written as a variation of the Rondo form, this piece consists of a main theme, two subordinate themes and a coda--ABACAB,Coda. Thematic repetition is seldom exact and is varied in harmonic content, instrumental color and contrapuntal techniques. All sections of the band have interesting and lyrical lines to play and a full percussion battery provides rhythmic motion and liveliness throughout. (Grade 4)
