German pianist Martin Stadtfeld devotes his latest recording to one of the most important keyboard works of his favourite composer Johann Sebastian Bach, states this talented musician, having already recorded the Goldberg Variations for his debut disc in 2005.
Bach's music has given Martin Stadtfeld his greatest successes, being the first German pianist to win first prize at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2002. "The music of Bach begins in my view where much else of great value and profound emotional depth ends."
