Ort und Zeit

An 18th-century room at night

Zusammenfassung

Florian Specht escapes over the roofs from a furious husband with whose wife he has just been caught in the act. Jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, he falls through a chimney into the room belonging to Suschen, the fiancée of his creditor, Martin Preller. Suschen has locked herself in there with her friend Rosine, because she has had an argument with Martin – just on the eve of their wedding. At that moment Martin is standing at the door, seeking reconciliation with Suschen. The situation is delicate – what should they do with Florian? All exits are blocked, jumping out of the window from the third floor to the street would doubtlessly kill him. The emergency provides the ladies with an idea how to rescue Florian and at the same time teach Martin a lesson – and they all have jolly good fun in the process.
